Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the web survey and for your suggestions about how the site could be improved. Where contact details have been provided, as you may expect many of the suggestions have been provided by local residents although there have been a number from far afield.

Here is a list of the major changes and additions incorporated into the site as a result of your suggestions. There are still some to be added which have recently been suggested. This list is not in any particular order so please don't be offended if your suggestion is low on the list or if it has still to be added.

• Search Facility
  We have added a site search facility on the home page in response to a number of requests. If you are unable to find what you are looking for in the Main Index then enter a keyword in the Search Box and search bewerley-pc.org.uk.
• Time
  Some people wanted the time added to the site. I'm not sure why since most computers are configured to show the system clock by default - however we've added a time and temperature icon on the home page. If you click on it you'll get the local Leeds/Bradford weather forcast in a new page.
• Notes
  Notes have been added on the Home Page so that when your mouse hovers over the navigation bar and other icons a summary of what is available on that page is displayed.

New "Churches"section
A new section covering the Upper Nidderdale churches now gives times and locations of all services for the coming month, a parochial directory, the parochial newsletters and forthcoming events reproduced from the current parish magazine and notes from the churches.

Improvement to the Planning Page
We have added direct links to applications on Harrogate Borough Council's planning database. When you want additional details about a particular application, the detail button will now take you directly to it.

Improved Mapping
Google maps have been added to the "find us page".

Calendar of Meetings and Events
The default calendar did not always display the correct information when opened on an Apple Mac computer running the Safari browser - you had to clear the browser cache or reload the page. We've added an alternative calendar for those users.

Minutes and Agendas
We've simplified the access points for minutes and agendas and added browsers support for them so they can be read from within the browser in addition to pdf files.

History
Quite a few people asked for the link to the 1868 digitised book on Nidderdale to be more prominent so we have added it on the history page of the site. Well worth reading.

Powers and Duties of Parish Councils
Under the FAQ page of the site, we have added a new link which gives more detail than previously on what powers parish councils have and their duties.
