Greenhow Landscape and Biodiversity Trust Fund
What is the Fund?
The Greenhow Landscape and Biodiversity Enhancement Fund has been established by Hanson Plc following the grant of planning permission in 2005 for an extension to the screen mound at the Greenhow Quarry. The objective of the Fund is to mitigate environmental impact that will result from the development most of which lies within Bewerley Parish Council and is part of the Nidderdale AONB.
How much is available?
A total £10,000 of grant aid is available each year from 2006 to 2011 and £5,000 a year from 2012 to 2027. The Fund provides financial support to individuals, businesses, Parish Councils, local authorities and community groups for projects intended to enhance the landscape and biodiversity of the land surrounding Greenhow.

The Nidderdale AONB provide administrative support on behalf of the Trustees. Copies of the guidance notes and application forms are available for download from the Nidderdale AONB site or from the Nidderdale AONB offices.
